TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Taiwan’s Taipei 101 will feature the colors of the French flag – blue, white, and red – Saturday night in a sign of sympathy with the victims of the terrorist attacks on Paris.
An estimated more than 150 people died and 200 were injured in the French capital when suspected members of the Islamist State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) launched a wave of attacks on various sites, including a theater during a rock concert, a restaurant, and a sports stadium during a key football match attended by the French president.
The Taiwanese government expressed its sympathy with the victims, while also advising citizens not to travel there for the time being. Several Taiwanese, including a TV station anchor on her honeymoon, were already staying there, but all were believed to be safe, reports said.
Taipei 101 management said it wanted to show its solidarity with the victims and to pray for the injured. The lights would go on at 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening, it said.
Similar actions were also undertaken overseas, with the French colors on view in New York and the Eiffel Tower in Paris extinguishing its trademark lights.
An illustration combining a drawing of the tower and of the peace sign became common on social media Saturday, with the phrase “Pray for Paris” being spread throughout the internet.

Of course, prayers are meant well, but why this post is so important is because people need to understand what the actual problem is. If you pray, you technically pray to the same God they prayed to. It’s time to make a difference, ISIS has come to Europe.
